This story had me on a rollercoaster of emotion. I’ll explain them all in this review.

the statistics around domestic violence are harrowing, and not everybody makes it out alive. Stazi, knowing who she was dealing with did what she had to do, to make sure that her and her daughter would not become another statistic. Her actions and her standing on big business in each and every way, made that pride only increase. Love me some Stazi 🥰
I wanted to Swoon
Stazi: “Why can’t I be looking for a man? After what I endured, I deserve it.”

Asif knew what he wanted and made sure Stazi was aware of that… verbally 👀

I think several people needed to get some hands (Jacinta anyone?), Asif being one of them. Because Sir… why did Stazi have to tell you that you had to cut everybody off? And why did Milan get so many opportunities to show her *$$ after the fact? 😒 That’s why Cemone is still my favorite 🤭
I felt so much Respect
At the end of the day we are all human, even parents. Prime opening up about his transgressions, to me, was one of the more beautiful moments in this book (and there were several).

“Shit, I love my wife. Y’all can joke all day about that shit, and I won’t give a fuck. After this, I’m taking my ass home to play with my son and then slide up inside his mama, simping in her fucking ear while I’m in it.”

These men love their women, and are not afraid to show this. Once they are completely in 👀 no one can make them feel ashamed by it.
Enjoyment
Mrs. Shvonne Latrice, to me, delivered a stellar read once again. Besides the emotional rollercoaster, seeing the family back together interacting with the added suspense made for some good reading hours (late into the night).
