“He came in by fate and from day one… displayed that no one could love me like he does”
Nobody Loves Me Like You Do by Mrs. Tacarra

Let me start off by saying that Mrs. Tacarra is one of the authors that will have me side-eyeing a character (or two), and still have me rooting for them! She is gifted like that 😅.
Having stated that, let me tell you a bit about the characters from this book.
We have Eve, the FMC with a thriving career, loving friends, and family, with a picture-perfect-relationship.
Insert recordscratch here…
SheReadsaLot: Now Eve, you know I have to side-eye the heck out of you here… You mean to tell me…?! Being approached by multiple women over the five-year span of your relationship makes for a picture-perfect-relationship? Baby Girl, I have a dream to sell you
We have Saint the MMC, all about his money, and his son, Myheir. Only women he loves are his mother and his sister. Has a contemptuous relationship with his baby mama, and has some women who he uses for entertainment purposes. However, none of them are HIS woman
Insert another recordscratch here…
SheReadsaLot: Now Saint, if she is not your woman, and you are putting boundaries in place. Why in the heck does she know where you live? Why are you dealing with a co-worker? How in the heck does she know where to find you? If being inconsistent was a person… *kissess teeth*
Okay, so back to the characters. Eve gets ditched by her partner (the picture-perfect-relationship 😒), through text 😮💨, for one of the women that approached her 🙀. And meets Saint on a couples trip 🥹
Remember… I said that Mrs. Tacarra makes me side-eye characters and still root for them?
““How about we be a couple this week?” I offered… “Not like that. I mean, I can be your partner in the couple shit that they have planned. That way, we both won’t be looking crazy. It’ll be fun. Besides, who doesn’t like a little roleplay?” I grinned.”

They meet… And in their meeting, and in their interactions is where Mrs. Tacarra had me rooting for them.
When I tell you she makes me experience whiplash in the way I go from side-eyeing them both 👀, to.. Yes Sir… You go get your lady!!! Yes Ma’am, show out for your Boo!
Has me wondering if per chance… I am the Drama?
Enough of my musings, let me wrap this up.
“What if I’d never met you?
Nobody Loves Me Like You Do version performed by the Late Great Mrs. Whitney Houston and Mr. Jermaine Jackson
Where would I be right now?
Funny how life just falls in place somehow
You touched my heart in places
That I never even knew
Nobody loves me like you do”
I’ve come to realize that although I love romance, I need a bit of an edge, a bit of strife, a bit of drama with my romance (preferably with some spice). And Mrs. Tacarra delivered on all of these points for me. After their meetcute, they worked toward actually being together. They built their foundation, and Saint turned out to be a surprisingly good partner 🥰.
I still have questions though!! And if somebody could answer them for me. Provide some insights, I would love that!
- Why would you have children with somebody that you don’t like?
- If you want to be single, and are not at all interested in more with the other party. What are reasons for you to continue “relations” with them, knowing they became attached?
- If multiple, unrelated, people approach you about your partner, would you wait for the other shoe to drop? Or would you pack your/their things up to go?
