As always I am starting off with a thank you to all the authors that I’ve read this week. You are so very much appreciated!
My vacation is officially over, and started back working. Meaning I had to get my reads in where they fit in 🥹, add in that some of my reads had me so wrapped up in my feelings that I had to write them out 😅. But those ramblings you can get under my reviews.
Let’s dive into my week of reads 🥰 shall we.
Opening the Week
Mrs. Charae Lewis started my week off, having me laughing at the hilarious interactions between Ada and Satoria, but also side-eyeing Satoria in others at her confusing behaviour.
I got to read an advanced copy of Mrs. Tember Sapphire’s upcoming release (available on the 30th of January). And eventhough commonsense dictates that there is rivalry present in sports, the insights she offered really drove it home. So I learned something new, and had me a fix of romance that wasn’t overtly sweet, yet so so romantic.
Mrs. Tessa Stone had me back in Wintermoon, where Claude/Claudia finally got her fated mate. I was soooo happy for her, and also side-eyed her, Valek and Sam. Because what do you mean Fate is now somehow wrong for the mate she sent you? *whew* I had so many thoughts 😮💨
Mrs. Lily S. Flowers introduced me to my girl Candy. Yes, we became good, good friends, especially after her second prayer 😂, and she stopped being difficult 😅.
Mrs. Tacarra had me side-eyeing her characters again, and then rooting for them shortly after. The emotional whiplash her pen always has me in, is something to be studied 🤭.
Already a lil bit in my feelings, Mrs. K.C. Mills decided to poor gasoline on them and had my emotional state all the way turned up. But I managed to survive, shedding only a couple of tears 🥹. Thug tears mind you 😎👀🫣.
And here comes my happy $$$, thinking Mrs. Lakia most certainly won’t do me dirty. “Just” a story about a fboy. How emotional can I get? Apparently, very 😅, when it is a story about coming into your own 🥰.
Having had enough of all the emotions I opted for a read by new to me author Mrs. Mercy B. Got some light entertainment with a bit of suspense, revenge, and spice. Getting me all the way right again.
I went for a dark fairytale retelling by Mrs. Antoinette Sherell with a depraved, crazy MMC and a FMC that matched him.
Closing the Week
After being in the “real” fictional world for too long, I decided to end my week in the paranormal world of Mrs. Jade Royal. Giving everything I wanted, Fated/True Mates, Panther shifter, Witch, action, justice (the opening was glorious 😍). I’ll be rambling about this one, as soon as I finish this series 😅
