Where is the time going? We are now entering the last week of February!!
As always, before we dive into my week in review..
I’m starting off with a thank you, to all the authors that I’ve read this week. You are so very much appreciated for your time, and dedication to your craft.
Let’s dive into my week.
After being home for a week, to recover from that pesky flu, I went back to work.
Meaning reading got interrupted by work more this week, as I’m still not at 100 percent.
However I made the best of the reading that I could get in 🙌🏾
Some stats about my week
- I’ve read 11 books this week (only posted 10 as 1 was a Beta read)
- from 11 different authors (1 new to me, and a male author)
- totaling 1.965 pages
- making it around 178 pages per book
- and 281 pages read per day
Overview of the books read
Week Opener
Starting my week off was Mrs. Dandridge Monroe with the third installment in her Of the Star Series. This time we got to see Yeabsira and Yussuf reunite.
This read had me so deep in my feelings.
I am always raving about Mrs. Monroe’s pen, AND this time she elevated it to another level.
I had some thoughts, and I go more in depth as to why I loved this read so much here.
Mrs. Lily S. Flowers released her book for the Cupid’s Countdown Collab, Be His.
And she did like I’m accustomed to. Mrs. Flowers gave a portrayal of infinite love in a different setting.
AND living up to her handle, lilywritesspice.
The Recipe for Love series had some releases this week as well, first being Silas & Hershey from Mrs. Charleigh Harpers pen.
This was a quick, sweet and lovely read.
Mrs. Mattie’s recipe struck so fast for this non-couple / couple 🤭
AND then, Mrs. Ladii Nesha released Losin’ Control: Half on a Baby or Two. An update on Losin’ Control.
I really didn’t realize how much needed this update was.
After Losin’ Control, I was content with the ending. Reading this update however, resolved some loose ends, and answered some questions as well.

I saw a post from Mrs. T.S. Martin, talking about this particular book, and decides to pick it up.
Enter Mrs. Masterpiece first Dark Romance, The Filth Kings!
Those kids got handed THE WORST set of parents!
So I’m standing behind my words, that they came out decent, considering who their parents were.
AND
I had to sit with myself for a few, because why did I eat this up like…
If you enjoy Dark romance, pick this one up. It’s not pitch black, but not entry level either 👀
The Recipe for Love series, came to the rescue with Mrs. K.C. Mills‘ Charis & Tyren.
Let me tell you that these characters irked me, with their assumptions and non-communication. BUT it was so sweet, and for all the irks, it brought me joy.
I’m truly loving this series
I wasn’t questioning my sanity enough, so I picked up Mrs. Kyeate‘s Unbeknownst to You.
Honor was…
And here I was feeling for him. Because why, why, did you have to do him like that Lennon?
And had the audacity to wonder why Honor wasn’t warm in his communication to you no more?
Maybe I’m different as well?
Not the level of Honor different, though!
Anyways, what I’m trying to say is…
He wasn’t right, but I understand 👀
Mrs. Egypt Cynaè released the third book in her Tasty Temptations series, Receive Me!
That young man, Love, knew exactly what he wanted, and was determined to get it.
Where I found more appreciation for him, was how he gave Patience time to arrive at the same conclusion as he did.
And the erotica element was most certainly present‼️
The third book in the Snowed in Shadow Wolf Creek Collab was released, and this time it was Mrs. Tessa Stone’s turn with Snowed in With a Rebel Shifter.
I loved this characters AND Mrs. Stone had no chill when she was writing the bedroom scenes.

Week Closer
Mrs. Connie Easton was my week closer this week. Let me tell you, Mrs. Easton did her THING!!
When Millie got introduced, I was like.. I hope that Jaelyn becomes the love interest…
Because Millie?
Soul most definitely deserves better! And better in this case was not Millie.
However the way Mrs. Easton wrote her redemption?
She had me a believer at the end of this read.
Soul was misguided at some points 👀, but his heart was in the right place 😅.
And the Cambridge Twins made an appearance as well 💃🏾
