I am back, this time with the Author Debut of Mrs. Lexi Reign, The Book of Samael.
There’s no true reason or rhyme why I am here..
I was finished with my previous read…
Saw a pretty cover, and here I am…

This is like the title says, about Samael. I am currently 10% in, and Samael has had a rough go of it. An alcoholic egg donor (she doesn’t deserve the title of mother), who has a deeprooted hate for Samael. Which comes out in the way she talks to him, about him, and treats him.
The egg donor, has another son. She is the mother to him that she isn’t for Samael. The disparity in their treatment is obvious. Even that his little brother of 5 years old doesn’t see anything wrong in the treatment of Samael. How could he when the one modeling what is correct and decent behavior, doesn’t have a clue what that even looks like when it comes to Samael.
At 13/14 Samael does the unthinkable… Twice!

And that’s an understatement!!
Let me give you the full content warning of Mrs. Reign:
This novel contains graphic violence, drug use, explicit sexual content, abuse, and psychological trauma. It explores dark themes, moral corruption, and the consequences of sin. Reader discretion is advised.
While this is a work of fiction, it explores into realistic and intense human experiences that may be triggering to some readers. Proceed with caution.
So I’ll be triggering myself for the rest of today into tomorrow if you’re looking for me 👀
