At the start of this year I picked up the author debut, Towels in Daegu, of Mrs. EJ Jordan. Which was part of her standalone SOKO series, travel fiction taking place in South Korea. Centering around the experience of Black people (Americans) who decide to work outside of the U.S.
Today she released her second book, Plátanos & Kimchi. This time we follow the experiences of Xiomara, proud Afro-Latina, in Daegu.
Recovering from a recent break-up she meets Min-jun, while also having to deal with some strenuating circumstances at her job.

I guess it’s time for me to pack up, and head out to Daegu, South Korea.
