Small update – ARC The Oracle Asylum

Hi All.

Just a quick update, as I am still reading Mrs. N. Sonia Nkera’s ARC of The Oracle Asylum.

Due to spring break, I am reading at a slower pace than usual, because there are less uninterrupted moments available to me.

I’ll try and finish Mrs. Nkera’s book before my week in review on Sunday.

I can say though, now 17 chapters in? I am happy I signed up! From World building, social commentary, rivalries, cultural elements. I am truly intrigued.

Another element I like is that I see words with a total different meaning, eventhough they are the exact same spelling of the words in the Creole language of my country, Papiamento.

The word I came across was tonto (in the story refers to the sweet alcoholic drink from fermented bananas). It means something COMPLETELY different in Papiamento 😅. Not even close!
