I don’t remember exactly where I saw Mr. Clay Cane’s Burn Down Master’s House mentioned. I do remember heading over to netgalley, and request my ARC.
Leading to me receiving an acceptance email of my application for said ARC… on the same day that Miss Lady received hers.
Meaning only one possible outcome right?

So that’s what we’re doing at the moment, eventhough work won’t let me be great…
Mr. Cane started dropping gems from the onset. His introduction contains several, but this is the one that spoke to me.

So I’m partaking in another form of resistance, remembering.

I’ll be reading about the enslaved who’s stories they try to bury, the stories that don’t fit the narrative they want us to believe.
‼️This is a story about enslaved people, and what they have had to endure. This will not be a pretty story, and eventhough fiction this story is rooted in truth and actual events.
