Bear With Me

It’s been some days since I last posted, so… very much time to give an update on what I’ve been reading, and why my posting has slowed down… A Lot!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: It’s BEEN time! You told them that you read daily, and you’d shine light on what you’re reading!

SheReadsaLot: Well I’ve been reading daily still! Just not finishing a book a day, meaning the posting part, will fall behind as well.

SheReadsaLot to Audience: I told you all that I’ve been dealing with a case of severe dry eyes. And I thought it was over! Well…

It abated some, but came back with a vengeance.

Now what does that mean for SheReadsaLot’s posting activities?

I’m still figuring out how I can balance my eye- and overall health. While I’m figuring things out I will be posting, however on a more sporadically or maybe weekly basis.

Have you been reading?

I have been reading, all be it at a slower pace making use of Assistive Reader and, when my eyes co-operate with me, my favorite way.

The books I managed to finish up till this point are:

Winter’s Eve Then, Now, & Always by Mrs. A.E. Valdez (Contemporary Romance)

About Winter King and Eve Valentine, who 10 years ago were engaged. Life happened, the  lines of communication got incinerated, and here they are apart. Until they end up in eachothers orbit again.

This read took me awhile to get through because the maincharacters only ended up being actually together around 70% in. Meaning they frustrated me up until this point.

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: They both knew they belonged together!

SheReadsaLot: Right!! And then they had the audacity to involve other people in their tomfoolery!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: They got it together though….

SheReadsaLot:

Nine Months With A Mafia Menace by Mrs. Lakia (Urban Romance)

About Vincent (who we got a glimpse of in a Million Boss Kisses), a Boss.

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: And a complete menace!

SheReadsaLot: He wasn’t that bad. And I mean he wanted to give her what he thought she needed!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: So planning a date where they get to see people having sex, because she caught a charge for voyeurism isn’t menace activity?

SheReadsaLot: I mean it was a logical conclusion..

The she in question Anila, an equestrian with some problematic family dynamics that have her making some not so well thought out decisions.

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: What compelled her to sit up at that house, peering into it we’ll never know!

SheReadsaLot: They’ll know when they pick this book up though!

Imperial: The Corvidae Family by Mrs. K.C. Mills (Organized Crime Romance)

An assassin, Emir, and an eventplanner, Baylyn. The perfect pairing.

I went into this one without expecations, as Mrs. Mills requested. And this was an oddly soothing read.

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Ma’am these people will think you’re crazy!

SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot: Ma’am, with all the posts I’ve made they should KNOW that I’m not exactly sane.

So Yes, he is an assassin, but that’s just his job. Emir loves his family and friends, and added Baylyn to the equation.

There was some light suspense, but no allusions to cheating, no back and forth, just a read on finding love at some odd times.

SheReadsaLot to Audience: So like I said, soothing!

Are you currently reading?

I actually am currently reading. However my mood has been going haywire as well.

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: I think you should actually take some rest for a bit!

SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot: You know that rest is a foreign concept to us!

As I was saying, I’m reading but my mood is going haywire. So I’m unsure on what the outcome will be for those reads. I.E. Finishing them, Pausing them, or DNF-ing them.

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Guess we’ll find out along with the audience, huh?

SheReadsaLot:

Other Book-ish things?

I received some book mail, because I can’t seem to stop buying books.

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: And you don’t want to stop either!

SheReadsaLot:

And since I apparently have time on my hands, and a bit of disposable income available, naturally I am still spending it on books.

But those orders have to arrive still.

That’s it for now, and see you hopefully on the next post!
