Starting off like always! By taking out a small amount of time to once again express my appreciation for all the authors that I’ve read this week.
I see your time, efforts, and dedication to your expression of art. And.

So as you all know… last week I truly was on some BS.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot:

So I decided to take it a bit easier this week!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: If you consider what we went through to store your books away easier…

SheReadsaLot to Audience: Don’t mind her!

Some stats about my week
- I completed 9 books this week (3 not posted)
- by 9 different authors
- totaling 2.814 pages
- making it 315.7 pages per book
- averaging 405.9 pages read per day
SheReadsaLot and SheReadsaLot: That’s not a whole lot of difference though, page count wise!
SheReadsaLot: My average per day dropped with 18.8 percent. That’s 1/5th. I’d say I did pretty good with not doing too much. And you’ll love me later as we’re only rambling about 6 books instead of 14!

Overview of the books read/posted

- Prince by Mrs. Bre Shadae
- Teegan & Solari by Mrs. Coya Wilson
- Vampire Uprising 2: Lycan Wars by Mrs. Blk Qween
- Out of Bounds by Mrs. Unique
- Terrez & Shalene by Mrs. Cocoa
- Reckless Forever by Mrs. D. Scott
Week Opener

This week my first post was dedicated to Mrs. Bre Shadae‘s Prince: Love Always Wins.
SheReadsaLot to Audience: Let me think on how I’mma start this one… Because this read was labeled as an erotica.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Them people really did this read a disservice when they labeled this one!
SheReadsaLot: I’m telling you! Because the spice was indeed all the way turned up once it got introduced. But this story was so much more!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Coming from you who will sing the praises of a book with some good spice, regardless of plot?

SheReadsaLot: Aren’t plot and GOOD spice interchangeable anyway?
SheReadsaLot to Audience: And on a serious note, if the book is marketed as an erotica, when it’s so much more than that. It can prevent people from picking up a book that may very well be something that they would’ve enjoyed if it is was categorized correctly!
SheReadsaLot: Ranking this solely as erotica when fifty shades ranks as contemporary is a…

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot to Audience: Having said all that? The spice was ON POINT!

SheReadsaLot to Audience: Now that I got those thoughts out the way, let me tell you about this read!
It started out with a man, Prince, aware of his wounds.

As much as I wanted to pursue her at that point in my life, I was an open wound, and all I could do was bleed on her.
Shadae, Bre. Prince : Love Always Wins (The Richards Book 3). Kindle Edition.
Took a step back to make time for his healing, actually took accountability for when he messed up, and course corrected.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: You don’t see a lot of that
SheReadsaLot: Shame actually! Because there is nothing more attractive than a person that wants to be the best version of themselves, and doesn’t inflict unnecessary pain and hardship on their partners!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot:

You did have Alex!
SheReadsaLot: Who was a fling, with whom he was up front with. AND stopped messing with as soon as he noticed that she got too invested…
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Shouldn’t have happened though.
SheReadsaLot:

And we had a woman, Lesha, with so much love to give, but who self sabotaged at every possible turn.
SheReadsaLot to Lesha: Devin? Really?

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: She was however, well aware of her difficulty in letting go of the familiar! So points for self awareness
SheReadsaLot: But giving a man a chance while he has someone else pregnant “to set up our future”? While parading said someone all over the socials?

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: You right Ma’am, Fvck familiarity at that point!

SheReadsaLot: You get what I’m saying though? Never get comfortable with disrespect because it’s familiar. No one deserves that!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Having said all that, the things Lesha has overcome while still being able to remain the loving and caring person she is?
SheReadsaLot: Beautiful to see!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Now on to what they’ll get with this read!
This read builds the relationship slowly, they are building trust. These are people healing from their circumstances. You will get suspense, and some really good spice!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: That balcony scene?!
SheReadsaLot:

Mrs. Coya Wilson released the third book, Teegan & Solari, in the Courtside Confidential Collab,
About Teegan who wanted better for himself, and decided to trade himself.
SheReadsaLot: Which… Valid! Because that team member?

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: And for him to be there on…merit”

And Solari who was adrift and in search of her purpose.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: So go on… Tell them, because I know you want to!

SheReadsaLot: Mrs. Wilson stressed me out!!!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: But how? These were just young people in love
SheReadsaLot: Of which one *cough* Solari *cough* kept hollering how she was grown grown!
SheReadsaLot to Solari: So why didn’t you open up your grown mouth and tell your daddy to stop interfering with your love life then, Miss I’m grown?

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: More to add?
SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot to Reesy: You don’t protect your children by manipulating the people in their lives! A parent is there to guide!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: And to be there for them, after you warned them, if things don’t go according to plan.
SheReadsaLot: And tell them I told you so!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Ma’am keep your pettiness away from the parenting!
SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: *sighs* so new release, we’re not doing too much and all that! Eventhough Mrs. Wilson stressed you out… Did you enjoy it?
SheReadsaLot: I really did! …AND they were young! I can overlook some things because they were young.

I picked up Mrs. Blk Qween‘s Vampire Uprising 2: Lycan Wars.
SheReadsaLot to Audience: You know sometimes.. You know something will be good, but you have to be in the correct mental state or mood to truly appreciate it?! That is this saga for me!
This installment of the saga has been out for a few months right now. But I knew that Mrs. Qween was about to stress me out, and I needed to be well prepared for it!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Mrs. Qween’s characters are indeed beautifully flawed, and encompass the spectrum between light and dark!
SheReadsaLot: Just thinking about Clarence and his way in Vampire Uprising 1, has me…

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Ma’am we’re not doing this again. New characters got introduced, Clarence is semi bettering himself.. It’s time to let the hurt go!

SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot to Audience: And what I thought was going to happen?

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: You got stressed out, and now you’ll be waiting again for the next book to release?
ShereadsaLot: Exactly, because WTHelly?!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: So tell them a bit about what happened!
So we found out what happened during the beloved character’s kidnapping, and the fallout this created.
SheReadsaLot: The backlash this brought to Niarchos?
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: So unfair!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: But very real as well. We as humans usually tend to place the blame on the ones that were there, even when they weren’t the perpetrator.
We got to see Gabriel in a different light!
SheReadsaLot: Miss Gabriel does lie a lot for someone who demands honesty don’t she?

SheReadsaLot and SheReadsaLot:

Mrs. Blk Qween gave us a lot of suspense, and insight in the hypocrisy of society.
SheReadsaLot: Because rape is rape regardless of gender. same counts for sexual harrasment and abuse.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: And we all know that it doesn’t usually play out like that. We saw this play out on Threads where a 31 year old woman sexually harrassed an 18 year old child.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: All the women acting as if it wasn’t what it was!

SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Let’s tell them what to expect…
This read is 968 pages. Yes I know it’s a thick book. However, once you start reading and get used to the dialect it reads like a telenovela, but paranormal! The farther in we get, the more paranormal beings Mrs. Qween introduces in to the story and to us. And this will all be accompanied with drama, mystery, suspense, and spice.
To make it short and to the point. You’ll be in for a ride! Do make sure to read it in the correct reading order by starting here!

Mrs. Unique had a new release this week as well, Out of Bounds, a sports romance!
About Kreed, MMC, team captain of the Atlanta Demons. His creed?
“If you stand before God and take vows, don’t cheat ’cause if you can’t be faithful to the woman you lay beside every night, then you can’t be trusted.”
Unique. Out Of Bounds (Atlanta Demon Series Book 4). Kindle Edition
SheReadsaLot to Audience: Ask me if he upheld his creed though!

And his wife of over 14 years and mother to 5 of his kids, Masai.
Who finds out that her husband isn’t who he says he is.
SheReadsaLot to Audience: Ask me how Masai found this out?!
SheReadsaLot: Because how you mess up. and let the other person spin the narrative?
Audience to Audience: Is she asking questions, without giving us an opportunity to answer?
SheReadsaLot: *Whew* Mrs. Unique had me hot in the first few chapters. Because HOW!!
ShereadsaLot to Shereadsalot: Don’t he know you never let your significant other find something out about you that you yourself didn’t divulge? By an outside party at that?

Shereadsalot to Kreed:

Audience to Audience: She really is doing that ish!

SheReadsaLot to Audience: But it all came together!
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Mistakes can happen. It’s the way you recover from them, and the safeguards you put in place to prevent them from happening again.
Shereadsalot: How he tripped and fell in some things, I still am confused about however.
Shereadsalot to Shereadsalot: So was he!

I went back to the D-Ville Projects, and picked up Mrs. Cocoa‘s release, Terrez & Shalene.
About Shalene, FMC, mother to one. Who has went through a lot, just having lost her mother unexpectedly, and on top of that recently divorced. Her ex-husband?
SheReadsaLot: Let’s let Terrez tell them about him

Shalene’s ex-husband was nothing short of a b*tch.
Terrez & Shalene by Mrs. Cocoa
SheReadsaLot and SheReadsaLot:

SheReadsaLot: The disrespect and the audacity of that man!!
I mean your wife has lost her mother unexpectedly. It takes her some time to climb out of her depression.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: They are married, and exchanged vows for better or worse!
SheReadsaLot: Not him though!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: You forgot he was doing all of that with their kid in the home.
SheReadsaLot:

But then you had Kerrez, jumping in and willing to do…
SheReadsaLot to Audience: Queue Joe’s🎵 all the things (your man won’t do)🎵
SheReadsaLot:

Week Closer

And my last read and post for this week was Mrs. D. Scott‘s, Reckless Forever, the finale to the Jennings Mafia Family Series.
I picked up Mrs. D. Scott’s latest release. The finale to the Jennings Mafia Series.
Mrs. Scott seems to have found the sweet spot for stressing me out. Because it started out with a bang, crescendo’d into
SheReadsaLot to Padrino: You need to let that girl live her life Padrino!

in to
*SheReadsaLot 3/4 of the way in*

SheReadsaLot: That is some real love for ya.
SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: Maybe they went a bit over the top!
SheReadsaLot: And it still was some real love being shared and shown, all the way around!

SheReadsaLot to SheReadsaLot: So we enjoyed right?
SheReadsaLot:

And that is how we’ve come to the end of this Week in Review! Off to see what next week will bring me!
