Another week has concluded. So it’s time for another week in review.
As always, I am starting off with a thank you to all the authors that I’ve read this week. Each time I put a blogpost up, I get a small semblance of how much time and dedication goes into your craft. AND you are so very much appreciated for it.

Let’s dive into my week shall we.

This week was a diverse reading week for me, as it wasn’t solely romance, I ventured to the mystery/thriller/suspence aisle of fiction twice this week.

So proud of me as well 🤭
Some stats about my week
- I’ve read 11 books this week
- from 11 different authors
- totaling 1.946 pages
- making it around 177 pages per book
- and 278 pages read per day
Overview of the books read

My week in Review
Some of these reads had me compelled to write more extensively about them, if you’re interested in them the link is placed.
‼️Please be aware that my in depth thoughts/reviews may contain spoilers.
Week opener
I started this week of feeling bold enough to pick up another one of Mrs. Octavia Grant‘s books 🫣. I was well prepared to have myself contemplating my choices.
However none of that happened. I left that read feeling oddly satisfied. This read is exactly why I love fiction…
Knowing that people who commit egregious crimes against others will get exactly what they deserve. And Mrs. Grant did not dissapoint one bit with this read. For my full review click here
I followed my first read up getting an update on the La’Roux family thanks to Mrs. Khadijah J.
I was so happy to get an update, because I remembered that family fondly, and missed them.
In remembering them fondly I forgot COMPLETELY how they raised my bloodpressure the first time around. And nothing had changed this time around either 😅. But you know that I’ll be there if there ever comes an update or spin off on the La’Roux kids.
I’m toxic like that 😂
I contributed to my goal of reading more by Black male authors with Mr. Nadir‘s Alice & Perry.
Perry was… Something… He was chasing money to satisfy his pride, and failed to exercise discernment. Not everything that glitters is gold, and not everybody is for you. He found out the hard way.
I will be reading more from Mr. Nadir’s pen!!

After this I went and dove into a read with several happy endings 🤭 thanks to Mrs. Egypt Cynaé‘s Calm Me an erotica.
Storm was a determined dominant man, without doing too much. I know that something I lack at times is patience 👀, Storm however had a HEAP TON of it. Because after the second time, I would’ve left Nature where she was at 🫣.
Mrs. Lakia released Passenger Princess, having me questioning if I truly read what I read.
Her men (there was more!!) took unhinged to a whole new level..
And I’m….

I indulged in Mrs. Asia Monique’s latest, Maybe in this Lifetime.
And that was… a trip… A dream within a dream? This was beautifully written, and I am still wondering if his reality is his actual reality. But does that really matter? They were true soulmates.
I read the debut of Mrs. Netra Antionette, I Rose to Become..
This read is moreso about finding yourself and living YOUR life. Which can be easier said than done.
I’m intrigued, and want to read more about their friend group. And I will be able to do so in March.
And then Mrs. Joi Miner had me

with If Walls Could Talk.
After I was able to distuingish the voices, I was captivated!! Can’t wait for book two to be released, so I can get to see how this ends. That Dr. boy is something else though 😒
Mrs. Jatoria C. gave Mason some time to finish his story with Mason Neiman 2. Mason is still Mason 👀🤭
BUT the one I think is actually not totally sane is Tylee. Because why Ma’am if you think he is so crazy, you go along with all his asks without any complaint?!
And I’ll be looking out for that Brasi family 👀

And then…
An Experience thanks to Mrs. Tatiana’s Chevy’s Promise.
From scrapbooking, pictures, storytelling to music. With her series Zoo Boyz: Street Chaos she already created something special, in my opinion, however Chevy’s Promise really took it to another level for me.
If you decide to indulge, start with the first book in this series, that you can find here
And note to self: I need to prepare myself for the next book, by diving into Mrs. Tatiana’s Parkside Cove series.
Week Closer

I closed out my week with Mrs. Natisha Raynor‘s latest installment in her The Millionaire Boys Club series, Killian.
Killian finds his one, however this read wasn’t a cookie cutter romance. It was a literary fiction with romance elements in it, and I’ll be putting up a more detailed review of this one, hopefully later today. *Update*More detailed review can be found here
